My Passion

As a creative who has a passion for inciting positive change in the world around me, I am constantly looking for new ways that I can use my talents to tell the stories that deserve to be heard. I have found that there is an opportunity to make the world a better place in nearly every environment. I believe that every individual brings a different skill set to the table, mine happens to be creating and sharing the stories that can impact communities across the globe.

Work Experience

I am the Senior Manager for Multimedia Design at Corus International, an ensemble of non-profits and for-profits working in concert to end extreme poverty once and for all. I create print and digital graphic designs for proposals, direct mail, emails, social media, impact reports, technical resources, and more. I have the pleasure of creating materials for all of the Corus brands including Lutheran World Relief, IMA World Health, Ground Up Investing, and CGA Technologies and target both individual donor audiences and institutional donor audiences. I am also lucky enough to travel to project sites to gather photo, video, and interview content. I craft emotional and engaging journeys for our donors through video storytelling across social media, our websites, email blasts, newsletters and live events.
Previously I worked as the Marketing & Communications Manger at Calvert School in Baltimore City where I oversaw all of Calvert's marketing and communications strategy and content creation. I personally created all of the visual content for the School, including photography, videography, and graphic design, for both internal use and external distribution. I coordinated all communications with current families as well as prospective families. I oversaw our communications associate and managed all of our social media platforms. I designed and coordinated the annual magazine, Reflections, as well as the annual report, all print publications, emails, and advertisements. I also managed our SEO strategy and ad placement. I united the various departments at Calvert to find the best solution possible for any given institutional need.
Additionally I have worked as the Media Coordinator and Associate Producer for Zinnia Films, a video production house that creates marketing videos as well as internal videos for a wide variety of organizations, with a focus on nonprofits and their work. I drafted proposals and worked on scripts and storyboards. I was instrumental in filming, organizing, and editing footage for internal and client videos. I worked with clients from large and small nonprofits.

During my time at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, I worked as the Student Design Manager of the on-campus design and print center, COMMONVISION. I gained a strong foundation in branding and print advertising for events, organizations, programs, and departments. This was also my introduction to leading a team of designers both in time and project management as well as meeting clients needs and producing high quality deliverables

More about me

When I'm not taking photos, designing fundraising materials, or filming documentaries, I spend most of my time hanging out with Willow, my adopted beagle/German Shepherd mix, planning my next travel adventure, or trying out a new local coffee shop. I also love camping, hiking, and volunteering with Thread.
